Light Show

MCA installation where children play with mixing colour and light.

We were thrilled to be asked to create an installation to coincide with the fantastic Light Show exhibit at the Sydney MCA, that included some of our favourite artists such as James Turrell and Jim Cambell.

We were commissioned to put together an interactive installation by the National Centre for Creative Learning at the MCA so that children could playfully engage with mixing colour and light. Children would move around in the installation, often using props to create layered and colourful paintings from their movement.

This was cleverly timed with the Vivid Light Festival so was in use by children and families on weekends as well as tipsy adults in the evenings. All seemed to enjoy it as thousands of people of all ages went through the exhibit.
